PROFESSIONAL/ADMINISTRATIVE
Job Description: The part-time Development Director will be responsible for assisting Ensemble Español in achieving its' fundraising goals. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Director will be responsible for leveraging key relationships and contacts to obtain individual, private foundation and government funding, as well as, developing new sources of income from individuals, corporate events and government grants.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Assist company artistic staff with maintenance and repair existing costumes. Develop and maintain an inventory system for company costumes and facilitate laundering after performances.
Photograph and video record company performances and rehearsals. Opportunities also include producing videos for our Educational and Community Outreach Programs, as well as videos to enhance our internet presence.
Design postcards, brochures, flyers, and ads for upcoming company performances and programs. Strong knowledge of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop preferred.
Work closely with administrative staff to create/redevelop marketing, development and social media plan and assist in strategic planning process with Board of Directors. Help in facilitating professional concerts and outreach programming.

2011 HIGHLIGHTS of the company’s work this past season include:
* A historic residency season, serving underserved Chicago Public Schools and over 2,000 students, teachers and parents including residency tours in the Mid-Atlantic region
* Serving over 20,000 youth and adults in the greater Chicago area with our Tales of Spain & Spain's Dancing Rhythms Programs
* Celebrating the Zelda Kolber Senior Spanish Dance Program
* Welcoming 10 new members to the Ensemble Español Youth Company, with one year scholarships valued at $10,000 each
* Dance for Life/Aids Benefit documentary television premiere August 2011 with Dame Libby Komaiko's master work Bolero filmed at the Harris Theater in Millennium Park, Chicago
* Over 75 million television viewers and over 400,000 spectators watched the Ensemble Español during the McDonalds annual Thanksgiving Parade on State street in Chicago
* Five sold out Family Holiday Concerts at Northeastern Illinois University Auditorium
*Youth Company gala fundraiser benefiting their premier study program Spain 2012. Donate today and help us reach our goal in taking our youth dancers to Madrid in July of 2012 to study with legendary Flamenco master, Carmela Greco
* The 35th annual American Spanish Dance & Music Festival presented on June 16-26 concluding with gala concerts at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie with guest artists from Spain
*Chicago Media 35th Anniversary coverage;
