How has it felt to return to in-person rehearsals and technique classes?
Returning to in-person rehearsals is so exhilarating. Being back in the studio around other dancers and creating art again has been beautiful. It’s also a huge transition and challenge to retrain our bodies after almost a year of not being in rehearsal. However, I am very grateful for the process and opportunity to keep growing and learning in my artistry.

How do you feel about having the opportunity to perform again?
Having the opportunity to perform again is such a thrill. Dancing on a stage always makes me feel alive and vibrant. Being able to share art with others is why we do what we do; giving back to our community and hopefully sparking some inspiration, joy or some meaningful message. I believe the audience is a huge part of the magic in the performance world and we have missed them greatly.

What is a message or motto you’d like to share with the world after this challenging year?
“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” -Alan Watts Although this past year has been challenging and unpredictable, I think we can all find ways to move forward together by trusting and leaning into the uncertainty while flowing through the ups and downs that come our way- I like to call it the dance of life.
