Northeastern Illinois University Foundation
The Northeastern Illinois University Foundation (NEIU Foundation) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that develops private support to sustain Northeastern Illinois University as it transforms the lives of its students, their communities and their families. We seek to expand resources, responsibly manage assets entrusted to us, and broaden relationships that benefit the University.
Given the Ensemble Español’s long time residence at Northeastern Illinois University and shared faculty, staff, and many supporters, the NEIU Foundation is the fiscal manager for five donor-restricted funds designated specifically for the benefit the Ensemble Español. Of the five, four are endowed funds and one is annually funded through private contributions.
Ensemble Español Endowment Fund
The Ensemble Español Endowment fund was established in 2008 via multiple donors to provide an annual scholarship for an Ensemble Español dancer to be used as credit toward tuition, books or fees. Fund shall also underwrite the expenses of the Ensemble’s artistic and administrative programming.
Endowed fund established in 2010 by Dr. Bernard Brommel for the provision of an annual scholarship(s) to one or two of the top students and dancers in the Ensemble Español who are enrolled at Northeastern Illinois University.
Endowed fund established in 2013 by Dr. Bernard Brommel for the provision of an annual scholarship(s) to a dancer in Ensemble Español.
Endowed fund established in 2013 by Dr. Bernard Brommel for the provision of an annual scholarship(s) to a dancer in Ensemble Español. Similar criteria to Brommel-Perez.
