This concert will present the cross cultural connections of flamenco and jazz with international award winning guest artists and musicians.
Yinka Esi Graves, international flamenco dance sensation from Sevilla, making her Chicago debut; Orbert Davis, legendary trumpeter, Chicago's most admired jazz artist; Wendy Clinard, revered flamenco dancer from Clinard Dance, Chicago; Bril Barrett, founder of M.A.D.D. (Making a Difference Dancing and rhythm director of the Chicago Tap Summit; Diego "El Negro" Alvarez, Latin grammy winning percussionist from Venezuela; José Moreno, flamenco singer, dancer, guitarist and percussionist from Sevilla; José Díaz 'Cachito', flamenco singer from Barcelona; José Manuel Alconchel, flamenco guitarist.
This concert is part of the Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater, in residence at Northeastern Illinois University, American Spanish Dance and Music Festival now celebrating their 48th Anniversary.
