About Amanda Saucedo

AMANDA SAUCEDO, Company Dancer, is a native of Chicago, and started dancing at age five with Nobleza Azteca Mexican Folkloric Dance Group, under the direction of Frances Garcia and Vicente Guerrero. She joined Ensemble Español’s Youth Company in 2007, under the direction of Dame Libby Komaiko and Sara Samuels. In 2013, she became an apprentice artist, and has studied with Irma Suárez Ruiz, Jorge Pérez, Julia Hinojosa, Juan Mata, Ana Gonzalez, Timo Lozano, Paloma Gomez, and Raquel Gomez, Cristian Lozano, and others. She studied ballet with Anna Czajun. Amanda traveled with the Youth Company to the Botica del Arte Dance Studio to study Flamenco and Spanish dance. She performs nationally with the company, performing works by Paloma Gomez, Raquel Gomez and Ron De Jesus, and teaches for the company’s community outreach programs. She is a recipient of the Brommel-Komaiko-Perez scholarship at Northeastern Illinois University, where she is majors in social work.
