About Chiara Mangiamieli

Born in Italy, Chiara Mangiamieli, is a well-respected and well-known teacher and artist in Chicago and the Midwest of the United States. She studied flamenco dancing and singing in Seville, with the help of several artists such as Juan Polvillo, La Choni, Carmen Gamero, Miguel Vargas and the cantaora Esperanza Fernández. Other dancers who have influenced her style are Paloma Gómez, former dancer of the National Ballet of Spain and Soledad Barrio.

Chiara is the co-founder of the musical trio Idyll with whom in 2009 she released her debut album and has collaborated with the most prominent groups in Chicago such as Las Guitarras de España, Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater and Sinfonietta de Chicago.
