About Cynthia Aguirre

Cynthia Aguirre, Flutist, is Mexican American in heritage, born and raised in
Fresno, California.
She moved to Chicago in 1999. Ms. Aguirre has played the flute for twenty years. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from California State University, Fullerton, and an M.A. in Music from Northeastern Illinois University.
Cynthia was a private instructor of flute, an adjunct music faculty at Northeastern Illinois University, and is a singer of classical music. She has performed as a flutist with wind ensembles, concert bands, marching bands, orchestras, and chamber music ensembles.
Ms. Aguirre was on the faculty of the Music department at Northeastern Illinois University and has performed with the Ensemble Español several times.
