About Jonathan Pacheco
JONATHAN PACHECO, Company Dancer, was born and raised in Chicago. He began his Spanish dance studies in 2013 while attending Northeastern Illinois University.
In 2015, Jonathan formally became an apprentice to the Ensemble Español and was promoted to Company Dancer in 2017.
Jonathan’s Spanish dance training has included working with Irma Suárez Ruiz, Wendy Clinard, Jose Barrios, and former Principal Dancers to the National Ballet of Spain Paloma Gomez and Raquel Gomez. He has trained in ballet with Anna Czajun, Laura Wade, and Patti Eylar. In 2017, he began training at the Lou Conte Dance Studio at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, being awarded a scholarship by studio director Claire Bataille. Jonathan performs nationally and internationally with the Ensemble Español, including the company's 2016 tour to Spain. He was featured in a lead role in Carlos Rodriguez’ La Piel Desnuda, which premiered at the American Spanish Dance & Music Festival in 2019.
Jonathan graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern Illinois University in 2017.
