Susana Lupiañez Pinto, "La Lupi", Flamenco dancer from Málaga, Spain (August 22, 1971)

1980 - 92 Susana Lupiañez Pinto, in the world of Flamenco known as "LA LUPI", finished her studies at the Superior Conservatory of Dance in Málaga (Spain). While studying she began her artistic career. Years later, after seen her dance, the guitarist Juan Maya Marote took her with him to Madrid. For the next three years, La Lupi worked in his Dance and Contemporary Flamenco Company with Ángeles Arranz, touring throughout Spain.

1999 She starts her own company, "La Lupi Flamenco Company", that allows her to direct, choreograph and star in her own shows and present them in some of the most important national and international theaters and festivals in the world.

Among the most outstanding shows are: “RETOrno” (2013), “Cartas a Pastora”. (Tribute to Pastora Imperio, 2014), “Mudanza” (2016), “La Paula” (Tribute to La Paula) (2017), “Presente como un recuerdo” (2018), "Lenguaje Oculto” (2019)

2008 She records and choreographs the videoclip “Brindo por ti” by Diana Navarro.

2010 Rafael Amargo produces a show for her called "Princesas del Flamenco" at the Calderón Theater in Madrid.

She presents the Max Music and Dance Awards playing the role of Antonia Merced "La Argentina".

She performs as guest artist with Juan de Juan and Rafael Amargo's companies.

2012 Singer Miguel Poveda invites her to participate in the “arteSano” Tour for two years, where she performs six dances: Alegrías, Verdiales, Sevillanas, Tangos de Triana, Nana and Bulerías, recording the DVD of the live show, at the Teatro Real from Madrid.

2013 She records the show "El Arte por Delante" live, in the legendary Tablao Flamenco "El Corral de la Morería" together with the dancers Ángel Rojas and Pol Vaquero.

She receives the "Sentir Málaga" award for representing Málaga in the whole world through her dance.

She premieres her show “RETOrno” during the 3rd Flamenco Biennial of Málaga.

The Carmen Thyssen's Museum in Málaga, asks La Lupi to pay tribute to Pastora Imperio with her dance, during the cycle of exhibitions that the museum dedicates to Julio Romero de Torres. Pastora was muse and model of the painter in some of his paintings.

She performs with Antonio Núñez "El Pulga" and the guitarist Curro de María.

2014 Presents her new show "Cartas a Pastora" at the Echegaray Theater and the Cervantes Theater in Málaga, together with the dancer Ángel Rojas.

Antonio Canales accompanies her in this show at Milan Festival.

2015 The National Ballet of Spain asks her to choreograph some Tangos called “La fonda de Carmencita”, part of her show “Zaguán”.

Together with Antonio Canales, she performs in the show “F L A M E N C O S”.

2016 Nominated for Best Dancer at the Max Awards with her show “Cartas a Pastora”.

She premieres at the Fernán Gómez Theater in Madrid her new show "Mudanza". Sold out at the Cervantes Theater in Málaga. She invited Curro Albaycin and "El Choro".

2017 She premieres at the Teatro Cervantes her new show “La Paula” with her Company during the opening of the 5th Flamenco Biennial of Malaga with Juan de Juan, Chelo Pantoja (added to the cast of the show since then), Miguel Poveda and Virginia Gámez as guest artists

In June they again represent "La Paula" during the 3rd edition of the Flamenco Festival Madrid at the Fernán Gómez Theater.

2018 In February, her show “La Paula” is part of the Jerez Festival at the Villamarta Theater in Jerez de La Frontera with Miguel Poveda and María “Terremoto” as guest artists

In October, she premieres her new show “Presente como un recuerdo", at the Flamenco Theater in Madrid. Curro de María on the guitar and singers Alfredo Tejada and David “El Galli” accompany her during the show.

2019 She pre-premieres "Lenguaje Oculto" at the Villa de Torrox Theater, a new show directed byJuan Dolores "El Chino".With dancers Iván Amaya, Pol Vaquero and Marina Perea. The musicians Óscar Lago (Guitar), María Curro (Guitar), Nelson Doblas (Violin) and David Galiano (Percussion). And singers Alfredo Tejada and Cristo Heredia. And premieres "Lenguaje Oculto" closing the Málaga Dance Cycle.

She performs as guest artist in the show “Las cuatro esquinas del perchel” by Adrián Santana. Show that closes the VI Biennial of Flamenco Art of Málaga.



She has taught dance throughout the world. Her peculiar way of dancing and teaching makes her a reference for today's youth dancers. Artists such as Rocío Molina and other Flamenco figures come from her school.
