About Melissa Mouhelis

Melissa Mouhelis currently serves as the Assistant Director of Career Enrichment at Benedictine University in Lisle. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling & Human Services  from Roosevelt University and began her career with Catholic Charities as a School Counselor. Since then, she moved into higher education where her career has spanned 18+ years with roles in student affairs, career services and teaching. She specializes in career counseling and empowers students to tap into the wisdom they already possess to find a career path that aligns with their sense of purpose and calling.

Melissa’s love of dance and teaching began at a young age as she trained in classical ballet, character, jazz and modern at the Judith Svalander School of Ballet (JSSB).  She has taught these forms of dance to youth and adults at the JSSB and has been guest faculty at the College of Lake County. As an adult, she truly enjoys studying Spanish Dance and participating in the NEIU community workshops and the American Spanish Dance Festival. As a long-time enthusiast of Ensemble Español, she is honored to serve on the EEYC board to help support these talented young artists.
