About Nalanie Molina
NALANIE MOLINA, Company Apprentice, is of Puerto Rican descent, and was born and raised in Chicago. Nalanie was first introduced to Spanish dance at age of 18 through the After School Matters program, under the direction of Irma Suárez Ruiz and Leticia Aravena. In 2011, she auditioned for the Ensemble Español Youth Company, where she began her formal training with Julia Hinojosa and Sara Samuels. In 2012, Nalanie went to Madrid, Spain to study Flamenco and Classical Español with Paloma Gomez, Carmela Greco, Maria Torres, Joaquin Ruiz, and Carolina Arias. She has also studied with Jose Torres, Claudia Pizzaro, Raquel Gomez, Jose Barrios, Anna Czajun, Chiara Mangiameli, Dereque Whiters, and Edwin Aparicio. In January 2017, Nalanie was awarded a company apprenticeship.She is a graduate of North Park University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and currently works as a teacher’s assistant with the Chicago Public Schools. She is an after school dance instructor the school’s students, grades Pre-K through Middle School.
